The issue with our water supply has now been investigated and the cause is a damaged line between the water source and the Newlyn Harbour estate. An alternative filtration system has been installed as a temporary measure and filters will be changed frequently to ensure that water can be safely consumed. There will be periodic reductions in pressure when filters are replaced. Vessels wishing to access potable water should contact the Harbour Office beforehand so that the necessary arrangements can be made to ensure that sufficient water pressure remains across the network for the benefit of all users. Further detailed investigations will be scheduled as soon as possible so that the damaged line can be permanently repaired. We will continue to keep you updated.
