Water Supply Issue Posted on January 31, 2023 at 10:59 am. We are experiencing an issue with our potable water supply this morning (31st January 2023). Potable water derives from surface and groundwater sources and is treated to a level that meets the required safety standards for human consumption. Whilst we are able to reassure Newlyn Harbour users that the quality of our potable water supply is unaffected and remains safe to drink, the current discolouration that is being experienced can be cleared by running taps for a spell. The wider issue with our water supply is being investigated and we expect an intermittent loss of pressure until a fix is found, which is likely to be this afternoon. We will post a further update when this issue has been resolved.
