We currently have a number of vacancies on our Advisory Body and Newlyn Pier & Harbour Commissioners is seeking expressions of interest from local people who may be willing to serve to add to the breadth and experience of the existing membership.  The Newly Pier & Harbour Revision Order 2010 places a duty on the Board of Commissioners to establish an Advisory Body which commissioners must consult on all matters substantially affecting the harbour and demonstrates the Board’s clear commitment to actively engaging with the local community.  We are particularly looking for people with an interest or background in the maritime industry: commercial or leisure, local environment or can demonstrate a desire to work constructively with the Commissioners to safeguard the future prosperity of Newlyn.
