The Port and Marine Facilities Safety Code (PMFSC) provides standards by which ports and harbours can measure their policies, procedures and performance. It also creates accountability for the discharge of their statutory powers and the obligation to run their organisations safely and efficiently. It does not change any of our obligations under the Health and Safety at Work Act.
To adhere to the Code, we have developed a Marine Safety Management System which is made up of several documents describing how we will meet these obligations in a simple and robust manner, which in turn, transfers to achievable and realistic methods of work at the coal face.
Our Marine Safety Management System documents can be found below along with some more generic information about the Code.
