Reformed Advisory Board to Hold First Meeting Posted on October 1, 2014 at 12:00 am. The newly reformed Advisory Board is to hold its first meeting next Wednesday. The new membership which was formally appointed by the Board of Commissioners at its meeting in July comprises of representatives from Cornwall Council, Penzance Town Council, the fishing industry and local community. Some of its first actions will be to appoint a new Chairman and Vice-Chairman, adopt a new terms of reference and agree a work programme. The Board has been re-established in accordance with Article 12 of the Newlyn Pier & Harbour Revision Order 2010 which places a duty on the Board of Commissioners to establish an advisory body to which the Commissioners must consult on strategic matters (non-operational) affecting the harbour.
